At school today a "Language Festival" was held, filled with colourful stalls set up with food and activities. At the Indian section, a whole line of girls were doing Henna. Wikipedia says "Mehndi is the application of henna as a temporary form of skin decoration in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh". The line was ridiculously long, I waited for like an hour ): My friend, Vee, ended up doing mine, she took her time and drew beautiful intricate patterns. I really want to buy my own Henna cones and experiment. Very interesting trying something new everyday.

diy: polaroids

So the title may not be the perfect name for this diy, but these are kinda sorta diy polaroids - not really. lol. I love polaroids, they are beautiful little things, but I personally find good quality photos more loveable and its waaaaay cheaper! And and and - you dont have to worry about taking a bad photo or the photo not turning out right. Convinced yet? haha, clicky below to find out how to make-ty make these babies. I'm so tired at the moment, I don't even know what I'm typing anymore ):

lego house

teal sleeveless shirt dress  (Paddy's Market) - $25
cardigan (Yessica) - $10
brogue lace heels - $5
tan belt (Jay Jays) - $7.50
authentic leather bag (Le Pelican) - mum's - $0

Toned down the outfit by wearing a cardi and belting it - a more casual and neat look.

I'm turning 17 this week. On Sunday night, I went out to dinner with some lovely people to celebrate. I shared this birthday with my friend, Brendan, whom turned 17 last week. T'was was a good night.

well read

I'm free. I've finished all my exams. Well, technically I finished yesterday at 10am and left the exam hall giddy and jumping with joy. I've procrastinated for 24 hours now. How lovely. Today I decided to up and change my iphone case. Last december I posted a little tutorial on how to diy an iphone case and so if you've seen the tutorial, its pretty basic. I took this page out of an old book that I got from a library sale the other day for 10 cents - in the process of making another diy with the book. This literal piece will complement my personality as it will express how well read I am. [insert geeky snort and laughter] Heh. Anyways hope you're well and enjoying your day!

cheese and tomato toasties

Mum bought a sandwich maker the other day. I've kinda be living off cheese and tomato toasties lately. It's kinda become a habit too. But its so delicious, the succulent tomato, perfectly cooked at the right temperature and the finger-licking cheese - melted to heaven's content.Yum.

latte love

a yummmmmmmmy latte that I had yesterday.
In a mug that I got for for my birthday last year ;)

was taken with some instagram magic :O

I have exams this week.
Last week I was so busy.
I went to school and I muttered the words: "so stressed, so tired" at least 15 times a day.
I wrote three essays in the period of three short days.
Today I sat on a stool in my back yard in pyjamas, reading aloud while knitting - it's just one of those days.
exams, the things they do to you.
